Hapkido for junior students

A junior Hapkido pathway built for young students — disciplined, confidence-building, and taught with safety first. Juniors grade to the national standard, adapted to be appropriate to their age and stage.

Discipline

Structured classes that build focus, respect and self-control.

Confidence

Steady progress through a clear grading pathway earned, not given.

Safe training

Age-appropriate technique taught in a controlled, supervised environment.

National recognition

Grades earned to the same national standard that governs adult training.

How junior training is kept safe

  • Controlled, age-appropriate contact — never adult-intensity.
  • No adult-intensity weapon realism or scenario pressure for children.
  • Qualified instructors working under the national safeguarding framework.
  • Clear, earned progression so children advance at a sound pace.

The junior pathway

Juniors follow the same national curriculum and belt pathway as senior students — White Belt through the coloured grades to Danbo and on to black belt — delivered in a way that is appropriate to their age and stage. Grades are earned to the same national standard and carry forward as a student continues into senior training.

You can see the full belt pathway on The National Standard. The grading syllabus for each belt is made available to members after sign-up.

Rank is responsibility, not reward.
